  new york based band who continue to perform at many festivals as well as venues across the north east. Although the band has deep
roots in traditional music (olde-timey/bluegrass/blues/celtic/etc),what makes them "free"grass is their open-hearted appreciation for more                                 modern forms of music such as jazz, psychadelic, reggae as well as other forms of world music etc...over the years fgU has shared the bill with such acts as        DAVID GRISMAN, DONNA JEAN & THE TRICKSTERS, RICKY SCAGGS & KENTUCKY THUNDER, DUB SIDE OF THE MOON, GORDON STONE BAND,
and many others. HIGHlights include NY HARVEST FEST, 07, AUSTIN DAMN SHOW, THE GATHERING, STERLING STAGE STRING FLING...
